Hello I'm Ratheesh Varavoor
Actor| Writer | Social Activist
Hello, I am Ratheesh Varavoor, an actor, dramatist, writer and a social activist. Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to receive numerous national and international awards, particularly for my anti-drug monoact, which has resonated with many. Among the accolades I cherish, the Best of India Record, URF World Record, Asia Book of Record, India Book of Record, and the Talent Record Book stand out. Additionally, I’ve been honored with the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award and the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kalashri Award, which hold special significance for me.
My collection of writings, titled Mashithullikal, has been published as a book, and I take pride in my ability to express myself across various platforms, including speech, Kadhaprasangam, drama, writing, and voice drama. Currently, I serve in the Thrissur unit of the circulation department at Malayalam Manorama. I am grateful for the support of my wonderful wife, Soumya Ratheesh, and our son, Dhruv R. Nair, as they inspire me every day to pursue my passions and contribute to the arts.
About Me
Beyond the spotlight, I am a storyteller across many mediums—from my published collection of writings, Mashithullikal, to the traditional art of Kadhaprasangam, voice dramas, and public speaking. Currently serving in the circulation department at Malayalam Manorama in Thrissur, I balance my professional life with a deep-rooted passion for the arts. My ultimate dream is to perform my craft before the Prime Minister of India, representing a vision for a drug-free nation. Every performance I give and every word I write is a tribute to the unwavering support of my wife, Soumya, and my son, Dhruv, who inspire me to keep creating for a better tomorrow.
my dream
Art has always been my greatest weapon and my most sincere prayer. Beyond the applause and the spotlights, I carry a vision that fuels every performance: a world where our youth find their “high” through creativity and purpose rather than the hollow promise of drugs. I perform to inspire, to heal, and to show that a life lived through art is the ultimate freedom.
My journey is driven by one ultimate milestone—to stand on the grandest stage of our nation and perform my craft before the Prime Minister of India. It’s not just about the honor; it’s about representing the power of transformation and proving that a stage artist can be a catalyst for a cleaner, brighter, and drug-free India.
